Terms of use

Last updated: 5 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the EVWise UK website (the 'Service'). By using the Service you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

1. Who we are

EVWise UK ('EVWise', 'we', 'us') is a personalised electric-vehicle advisory service based in the United Kingdom. We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. You can contact us at hello@evwise.ai.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet these requirements and that any information you provide is accurate. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

3. The Service is guidance, not advice

EVWise produces personalised recommendations based on information you enter. Our outputs are general information and guidance only. They do not constitute regulated financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, insurance advice or legal advice, and using the Service does not create an adviser, fiduciary or professional relationship between you and us.

You should consult a suitably qualified professional adviser (for example an accountant, independent financial adviser or solicitor) before entering into any vehicle purchase, lease, salary-sacrifice arrangement, company-car arrangement, insurance or finance agreement. EVWise is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your circumstances.

4. No warranties (provided 'as is')

The Service and its outputs are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. We use publicly available UK policy data (for example gov.uk, HMRC, OZEV, devolved governments, Transport for London and council sources) and keep it under review, but rates, grants, taxes and rules change and may have changed since our last update.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranties, conditions or representations, whether express or implied, that the Service or its outputs are accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Any figures, savings and comparisons are estimates only.

5. Your responsibility and assumption of risk

Recommendations depend on the accuracy of the information you provide and on assumptions that may not match your situation. Any decision you make remains your own. You are responsible for verifying figures, checking current rules, and taking professional advice before you act. To the extent permitted by law, you use the Service and rely on its outputs at your own risk.

6. Acceptable use

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and your own personal use.
  • Do not attempt to access non-public administrative areas without permission.
  • Do not scrape, redistribute, resell or republish our content without our written consent.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, overload or compromise the Service or its security.
  • Do not impersonate others or submit false information designed to manipulate outcomes.

7. Third-party links, partners and affiliate referrals

Some links on the Service are affiliate links. When you click one and complete a quote or purchase, we may earn a referral fee. This never changes the recommendation itself, and we disclose affiliate placements at the point of click. Partner websites are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible or liable for their content, products, services or data practices. See our privacy notice for how we handle data around referrals.

8. Paid features

Some features (for example a downloadable PDF report or a saved-recommendation subscription) may require payment and are subject to additional terms shown at the point of purchase. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to a refund where a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill or is not as described, are not affected.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, text, code and recommendations, is owned by EVWise UK and protected by United Kingdom and international intellectual-property laws. You receive a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the recommendations we generate for you for your personal, non-commercial purposes only.

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse us for reasonable losses, damages and costs (including reasonable legal costs) that we suffer arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of another person's rights. This does not apply to losses caused by our own breach or negligence, and does not affect your non-excludable rights as a consumer.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.

Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for: any indirect, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, savings, revenue, data or goodwill; or any loss arising from a vehicle, finance, insurance or tax decision you made in reliance on the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of £50 or the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Resolving disputes

If you have a problem, please contact us first at hello@evwise.ai so we can try to resolve it. We aim to respond within 30 days. Nothing in these terms prevents you from bringing a claim, and if you are a consumer nothing here removes your right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, or your access to any applicable alternative dispute resolution or ombudsman scheme.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to section 12, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.

14. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may change the Service or these terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the date at the top. Changes are not retrospective. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. General

  • Severability: if any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms continue in force.
  • No waiver: if we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of our business.
  • Events beyond our control: we are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • Entire agreement: these terms, with any point-of-purchase terms and our privacy notice, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.

16. Contact
