1. What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store on your device. We also use similar storage technologies (such as localStorage) which we group with cookies for the purposes of this notice.

3. Strictly-necessary cookies
We do not need your consent for strictly-necessary cookies. They are required for the website to function (for example to keep you signed in or to remember your consent choice).
4. Optional cookies and your consent
We do not set optional cookies until you choose "Accept all" on our consent banner. Declining is as easy as accepting: choose "Reject non-essential" and no optional cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it. Your choice is recorded in the strictly-necessary evwise_consent cookie so we do not re-ask. See our privacy notice for how we handle the underlying data and the lawful bases we rely on.
- Analytics: measures aggregate usage (pages viewed, recommendations generated) so we can prioritise improvements. IP addresses are truncated.
5. Referral measurement and affiliate clicks
When you click a partner link (for example an EV leasing broker or home-charger installer) we set a first-party evw_ref cookie that stores a random reference for that click. If the partner later reports a sale, we use that reference to reconcile it and bill the partner. This is functional measurement: it carries no profiling, the stored IP is truncated, and it does not depend on analytics consent. The reference expires at the end of the partner attribution window.
After the redirect, the partner's own site may set its own cookies under its own policies. We do not control those cookies. See the partner's site for details.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may break parts of the site that depend on strictly-necessary cookies (for example the admin sign-in area). Guides:

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry standard for honouring this signal so we do not currently respond to it. Use the cookie settings link in the footer or the controls above to manage what we set.

We update this notice when cookies change. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the site.
